What is the cost of the course?
The cost of the course is $325. This includes all classroom and behind the wheel instruction. All textbooks are also included in this price.

Is the instructor licensed and insured?
Yes. Greg Wood is licensed, insured, and certified by the state of Idaho. He has over 13 years of experience with adults and teens in both public and private driver education.
How do I sign my child up?

How can I contact you?

What kind of car does the instructor use?
The driver education vehicle is an aspen green, fully-loaded, automatic 2005 Toyota Camry LE. An additional brake has been installed on the instructor's side as required by law.
When are classes held?
Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:15pm to 8:45pm at Cole Valley Christian High School. Dates and times are subject to change as deemed appropriate.
What is the length of the class?
Our driving class is 6 weeks long with 30 hours of classroom instruction, 6 hours of observation, and 6 hours of behind the wheel training.
What if my child misses a class or a drive that is not an excused, school-related absence?
If you child has an unexcused absence, then they must make up the work and a $25 fee will be assessed for each class session missed. A $20 fee for each driving session missed.
What is required for my child to pass the course?
A minimum satisfactory grade of 80% (B-) or better in the classroom, a 75% (C) or better while behind the wheel, including a minimum score of an 85% (B) on the final road exam, and must meet a satisfactory attitude score. A failed final road test will result in a $20 retake fee that cannot be taken any sooner than 3 days after the previous road test.
How/When will my child get his/her permit?
You must be at least 14.5 years of age by the time of the first class session and have your permit. A parent/guardian must accompany their child in order to obtain a permit. An original birth certificate, social security card/number, letter of compliance from their school, and their student ID card must be presented before a permit will be issued.
Where can my child get a permit?
A permit can be obtained at any Idaho DMV location. Please be aware of office hours, as they vary among different locations.
Who is allowed to take this course?
Teens at least 14.5 years old are allowed to obtain a permit. Any adults who need to get their license or just want a refresher course are welcomed as well.
How can an adult get their license?
An adult must obtain a permit and take the written test at the DMV. Contact your local DMV for appropriate documentation.
How can I ensure a spot in the class?
To reserve a spot in the class, you will need to mail a $50 non-refundable deposit to Treasure Valley Driving School, 8512 Pembrook Dr., Boise, ID 83704.
